What you guys should know about City Campus Hostel Info .

let me tell you the situation for students at City Campus (MIIT and IPROM),

1. There are 3 hostels , 2 in Bangsar . 1 in Kampung Baru .

2. In Bangsar , The gentlemens premis is call "Block 10 Hostel " . While the Girls are call "Jalan Tanduk Hostel" . Distance from both two places is somehow quite far . Imagine from Bangsar to the center of KL everyday .While the other Hostel is at Kampung Baru . This one is called "Wisma Aida Hostel" (for guys) .

So , the question is , why students at City Campus didn't want to stay in the hostel ? . its cheaper and only have to pay once .

Answers :

Distance and Money . Most of the students who stay in Bangsar , most probably will never wait for the bus to pick them up (who want to wake up at 5 , then wait for the non-punctual bus to arrived) . they will use the public transportation (LRT) . which it is pretty far from their place . They have to walk , either 3KM or more to the LRT station. Tired is one reason , then they have to pay for the LRT fees , (remember , they already need to pay for bus fees for one whole semester , nevertheless if they ride it or not) . take one way LRT , then arrived , still have to walk (around 500M) to campus . Even if they are driving from hostel to Campus , it is still far (traffic jams is worst over here) .

I must say , it is tiring and costly.

for the guys that stay at Wisma Aida , thank god , it is superbly near . But hey , when there is good , something bad must be in it .
The place is not really suitable for student , at least for me .
Messy , non-study environment , old building , water problems , and electrical problems . this kind of problem happens all the time . The only reason why students stay here is because of the fees .

So , after the calculation has been made , these smart students at City Campus (lol) , make their own moves by staying outside . Where it is nearer and could safe their cost of living . Most of the students stay at Plaza Rah Condominium , expensive . but only walking distance to our campus , which actually save the travel expenseve money and their strength . While some of them stay at Sentul(its cheaper) , not very near , but the LRT station is near to their Apartments . Which help them a lot .

For those who seeks info about this , I hope that helps . Cheers .
